Monique S. Negron is the Assistant Director of Academic Support in the Office of First Year Programs & Learning Communities. Her responsibilities include meeting individually with students to develop strategic academic plans as well as supervising the UConn Connects Program. She is also a first year doctoral student in the Counselor Education program of the Educational Psychology Department and a doctoral fellow through the White House Collaborative to Advance Equity Through Research on Women and Girls of Color. Her current research project seeks to investigates the key factors that contribute to the resiliency of women of Color in pursuit of STEM degrees.
