Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP)
As Program Coordinator for UConn’s LSAMP scholars program, Michael provides support, mentoring, guidance, training, and career advising to a select group of STEM scholars. Through programming, classroom experiences, connection to undergraduate research, international experiences, and one-to-one engagement, the LSAMP program provides a community of scholars to its participants and a supportive structure to guide each student to success. In addition, UConn LSAMP is part of the Northeast Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation, a six school collaboration that facilitates cooperation and collaboration between schools and scholars in the region.
At UConn since 2010, Michael has served as a career counselor and assistant director in the Center for Career Development prior to joining LSAMP. He earned a master’s in College Student Personnel Administration from Canisius College, a Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts from Gettysburg College.
